Timeline

While often considered a gemstone, in reality Amber is a fossilized resin from prehistoric trees. While found all over the world, this Amber originates from the southern state of Chiapas in Mexico. Taken over 25 to 40 million years old to harden, this ‘piece of time’ is said to balance out emotions and clear the mind. The oldest Amber ever discovered on Earth is about 320 million years old. Because of its flammable characteristic, burned Amber was used in scents in ancient times. Also Amber smells good when you rub it.
